TAGBILARAN CITY — A 4.1 magnitude earthquake shook some parts of Bohol province on Monday evening, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), said.
Phivolcs reported that the earthquake registered a 4.1 magnitude at 10:46 p.m.
The epicenter was plotted 9 kilometers (km) soutyh east of Anda town, Bohol province. The temblor had a depth of 7 km.
The earthquake that struck Bohol on Monday evening was tectonic in origin.
The quake was also felt in neighboring towns of Ubay, Alicia, Duero and Guindulman.
People quickly took to social media to share their surprise of the quake.
“Aftershock? Lord never again,” Van Delima, a resident of Ubay posted on Facebook. He said his bed was shaking when the quake occurred.
There have been no reports of injuries or damage thus far. /atm
