The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has lifted its number coding scheme for Monday, March 19, to help ease possible impact of the nationwide transport strike to the public.

In a Twitter post, the MMDA said the suspension of the number coding scheme covers entire Metro Manila, including Makati City and Las Piñas City.

Jeepney drivers, operators, and workers belonging to the Pinagkaisang Samahan ng mga Tsuper at Opereytor Nationwide (Piston) would stage Monday’s transport strike to protest the government’s planned jeepney modernization program.
