Beneficiaries of deceased barangay officials can now process death and burial claims online, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) announced on Saturday.

Eduardo Año, officer-in-charge of the DILG, issued revised rules and regulations to facilitate the online processing via the Barangay Information System (BIS), which can be accessed through: intranet.dilg.gov.ph.

“The DILG is conscientious in doing its role in providing the benefits authorized by law to the beneficiaries of deceased barangay officials who served their communities faithfully,” he assured.
