The Philippine Army has been given the Palladium Balanced Scorecard Hall of Fame Award in London for successfully implementing its Transformation Roadmap strategy according to the standards set by the Kaplan and Norton Strategy Management System.

The management system’s co-developer, Dr. Robert S. Kaplan, is a Harvard Business School professor.

The Army, in a statement, said it passed the on-site evaluation process last Jan. 22-24 conducted by David McMillan, director of the Office of Strategy Management of the Palladium Group.

Lt. Gen. Rolando Bautista, Philippine Army chief, said in a speech accepting the award in London that the armed service “strived hard” to implement the Kaplan and Norton system to clinch the award.

Bautista said the implementation of the system was “in keeping with our vision of becoming a world class army by 2028.”
