The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday opened to the public its One-Stop Shop (OSS) building, the processing center for all firearms and security-related applications and licenses.

The OSS, which is under the direct supervision of the PNP-Civil Security Group, is the hub for all applications for a license to own and possess firearm, a permit to carry firearms outside of residence, and the license to exercise a security profession.

During the turnover ceremony, PNP Chief Dir. Gen. Ronald dela Rosa said the center would finally streamline and fast-track the processes for firearms and security-related licenses and applications.

“The CSG will now be able to attend to more people and provide better and faster services. Dapat mabilis na ang serbisyo natin dito (our services should be faster),” he said in his speech.

The OSS will also provide neuro-psychiatric examinations and drug tests as well as be the one to issue the Directorate for Intelligence (DI) Clearance, the counterpart of the National Bureau of Investigation Clearance.

The OSS is located near the EDSA gate of Camp Crame in Quezon City.   / muf
