A magnitude 5 earthquake jolted Talakag, Bukidnon on Thursday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
The earthquake of tectonic in origin was felt in the area at 3:19 p.m., according to a Phivolcs bulletin.
The agency reported that the depth of the quake reached 1 kilometer.
Intensity IV was felt in Iligan City, Intensity III in Cagayan de Oro City, and Intensity II in Kalilangan, Bukidnon.
Phivolcs warned the public of aftershocks but said that there was no expected damage. /jpv
