Aguirre will soon be kicked out

The days of Vitaliano Aguirre as justice secretary are numbered.

The class valedictorian of San Beda College of Law, where President Digong graduated from in 1972, may soon be given the boot after the Department of Justice dismissed the drug charges against confessed drug dealer Kerwin Espinosa and Peter Lim, a suspected drug kingpin in Cebu.

The dismissal miffed the President so much that he said he would have Aguirre replace the two drug suspects in jail.

Administration and opposition lawmakers, as well as Vice President Leni Robredo, slammed Aguirre for the unexpected dismissal of the charges.

Sen. Dick Gordon, the President’s supporter in the Upper House, expressed surprise over the exoneration of Espinosa who admitted to being a drug trafficker during a Senate hearing.

“I condemn that to the highest levels. I don’t know what entered their heads,” said Gordon, referring to the DOJ panel of prosecutors that investigated the charges.

Vit Aguirre really should go because he can’t control his people at the DOJ who don’t follow his orders or disregard them.

Aguirre once admitted to this columnist that he didn’t have any hold on the National Prosecution Service, which is composed of all prosecutors in the country.

“I do not control the National Prosecution Service nor could I dictate on it,” he told me in a text message.

The exoneration of Lim, along with Espinosa, “has sent shock waves to the people of Cebu. It is a slap on our fellow Cebuano, Rody Duterte, who is waging a relentless campaign against drugs,” said a prominent Cebu City resident, who requested anonymity.

Everybody in Cebu knows Lim is a drug lord, the resident said.

He said Lim went around with bodyguards in a convoy of five cars.

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein said President Digong should see a psychiatrist for the latter’s supposed reckless statements on human rights.

And who is Al Hussein?

He is an Arab from Jordan where Filipino domestic helpers are treated like animals.

Before Hussein sees s**t in other people’s backyard, why doesn’t he try to clean up his own backyard first?

Two Filipino dance instructors reportedly showed unsportsmanly behavior at a dancesport competition.

The coaches, whose wards were eliminated earlier, berated the foreign judges of the 21st Dancesport Quarterly Ranking and Competition held recently at the Valle Verde Country Clubhouse in Pasig.

The two yelled “f*** you” and pointed their “dirty fingers” at the judges, according to those who witnessed the incident.

One of them is reportedly being supported by an official of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. in terms of sponsorship of dance competitions.
