Public official-reservists up for appointment, promotions by CA

The ad interim appointments of three more public officials to the military’s reserve force have been recommended for confirmation by a panel of the Commission on Appointments (CA).

The three public officials were Presidential Adviser for Political Affairs Francis Tolentino, Davao Oriental Rep. Joey Mayo Almario, and Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista.

Tolentino has been appointed to the rank of Brigadier General at the Armed Forces of the Philippines while Almario and Bautista have been recommended for promotions from Lieutenant Colonel to the rank of Colonel at the Philippine Air Force; and from Colonel to the rank Brigadier General of the Philippine Army, respectively.

The panel’s recommendation will be transmitted to the CA plenary either for adoption or rejection.

Earlier this March, the CA confirmed the promotions of eight lawmaker-reservists in the Senate and House of Representatives.
