Entrepreneurs in Quezon City can experience more convenient business registration processes with the establishment of a one-stop shop at city hall.
Through Executive Orders 11 and 11A issued by Mayor Herbert Bautista, the local government also created an express service center for construction permits for simple structures.
Launched last week, the one-stop shop was set up at the Civic Center Building A while the express service center can be found at the 14th floor of the high-rise city hall building.
“When registering your business through the one-stop shop, your papers move while you wait. The usual 16 steps of business registration were cut down to seven,” National Competitiveness Council Cochair Guillermo Luz said in a statement.
Business owners may apply for several requirements at the one-stop shop, including locational clearance, fire safety evaluation and permits for building and occupancy.
Meanwhile, the express service center will accommodate the applications for construction permits for structures with a maximum floor area of 1,500 square meters. —Jhesset O. Enano
