DID YOU KNOW: Calabarzon, NCR have most ‘deaths by usual residence’
According to the latest data from the Philippine Statistics Authority, the National Capital Region ranked second in the highest number of deaths by usual residence with 76,839 or 13.2 percent of the total 582,183 registered deaths in the country in 2016.
“Deaths by usual residence” refers to the place where the person who died habitually or permanently resided.
Calabarzon ranked first with 82,764 or 14.2 percent while Central Luzon ranked third with 68,757 or 11.8 percent. —Marielle Medina
