Cop, drug suspect killed in Bulacan buy-bust

CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, BULACAN-A policeman was killed by a drug suspect, who was also slain during a March 11 drug bust in Norzagaray town.

PO3 Ronaldo Legaspi, 47, of the Norzagaray police station, was shot dead during a gun battle when suspect Rolando Padura and his unnamed accomplices opened fire after realizing they were dealing with undercover policemen at 1 a.m. along a road in Barangay (village) Tigbe, said Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat, Bulacan police director.

Padura was also killed in the clash but his companions managed to escape and are being hunted by the Norzagaray police. CARMELA REYES-ESTROPE
