The Department of Health (DOH) is heeding the advisory of the National Privacy Commission (NPC) not to share the master list of the recipients of the dengue vaccine Dengvaxia, not unless they are directed to do so by a court or agency.
Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said they would follow the NPC’s advice to be circumspect in disclosing the list of the inoculated schoolchildren.
“That is the resolution of the NPC … (which) enforces the Data Privacy Act of 2012,” he said.
The Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) has been asking the DOH to produce the master list of Dengvaxia recipients.
But Duque said they were open to sharing the data if they would be directed by courts to do so. —Julie M. Aurelio
