De Lima undergoes CT scan of the liver
Sen. Leila de Lima told her supporters on Monday that there was “nothing to worry about” after she underwent a CT scan of the liver at Philippine Heart Center in Quezon City.
De Lima, who is detained on drug charges at the Philippine National Police Custodial Center in Camp Crame, was granted a one-day medical furlough by a Muntinlupa court after the PNP General Hospital found an impression of a “liver mass” in the senator.
“As prescribed by my doctor, the [CT Scan] is necessary to determine if the liver mass is benign or malignant,” De Lima said in a statement read by her chief of staff, Fhilip Sawali. —Matthew Reysio-Cruz
