The northeast monsoon or “hanging amihan” will bring isolated rain over parts of northern Luzon, the state weather bureau said on Wednesday.

The Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Ilocos region will experience cloudy skies with isolated light rain due to amihan, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 4 a.m. weather forecast.

Coastal waters in northern Luzon and eastern section of central Luzon will be moderate to strong, it added.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers because of localized thunderstorms, Pagasa added. /cbb
