Gunmen on motorcycle kill 2 in Camarines Sur

PASACAO, Camarines Sur–A security guard and a pedicab driver were shot dead by motorcycle-riding men here Monday evening.

Senior Insp. Ryan Bagasala, chief of Pasacao police, said Reynaldo Tormes, security guard of Camarines Sur Institute of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (CASIFMAS), was driving his bike on his way home when he was shot along the highway in Barangay (village) Sta. Rosa del Norte at past 9 p.m.

After the shooting, the two assailants also shot Roy Cericos, who was driving his pedicab a few meters away from Tormes.

Bagasala, who led the investigation, said the suspected gunman wore a face mask, while the driver of the motorcycle was wearing a full helmet.

FEATURED STORIES

Both Tormes and Cericos suffered fatal shots in different parts of their bodies and were declared dead on arrival at the hospital.

Bagasala said they were looking into a personal conflict with a co-worker as motive in the killing of Tormes, while they could not say what the motive was in the killing of Cericos was.
