A magnitude 4.6 earthquake shook Eastern Samar early Monday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
A Phivolcs report showed that at 9:05 a.m., the quake hit West of Llorente, which experienced Intensity 4 tremor.
Intensity 4 was also felt in Hernani town; Intensity 3 in the towns of Balangiga, Lawaan, and Salcedo as well as in the cities of Borongan and Catbalogan; and Intensity 2 in the towns of Dolores and Guiuan.
Parts of Leyte also felt the seismic activity, specifically Palo town and Tacloban City.
