BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya – Four men were caught transporting illegally-cut logs on board a passenger van in Aglipay town, Quirino province on Thursday (Mar. 1), a belated police report says.

Moreno Baloc, 37; Sheldan Antolin, 23; Amer Arucan, 23;  and Aries Arucan, 31, were inside a vehicle carrying about 600 board feet of lumber, as they were stopped at a checkpoint along the highway in Palacian village.

Chief Insp. Ernesto Duque said the police acted on a tip provided by an informant, after the suspects’ van drove past a police outpost in Victoria village.
