MIAA to bar delinquent hangar owners

07:38 AM March 02, 2018

The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), the state-owned operator of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia), said on Thursday that owners of hangars and their personnel who failed to settle their combined rental arrears worth about P100 million would be barred from entering the airport complex.

“We will not issue access passes to them. [They] definitely they have to pay, but there are certain legal procedures to follow,” said MIAA general manager Ed Monreal.

Monreal said the delinquent hangar owners, whom he did not identify, had already received several notices from MIAA.
