Man arrested in Pagadian drug buy-bust

PAGADIAN CITY – Authorities arrested a 24-year-old man during a drug buy-bust operation in this city on Wednesday evening.

Ricardo Lubaton, a team leader of the local Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), identified the suspect as Abu Muhammad, who was collared immediately after he handed to a poseur-buyer a sachet of shabu in a sting operation along Jamisola Extension in Barangay Sta. Lucia.

Agents subsequently frisked Muhammad, and seized from him two more sachets of the prohibited drug as well as the marked money used in the buy-bust, according to Lubaton.

Muhammad, who is currently held at the PDEA detention cell in this city, will be charged for drug pushing and possession of illegal drugs, officials said.                       /kga
