Quake jolts Davao Occidental

 

A magnitude 3.4 earthquake hit Davao Occidental on Thursday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

The tremor, which struck West of Saranggani around 8:00 a.m., was of tectonic origin and had a depth of 59 kilometers, according to a Phivolcs report.

No damage and aftershocks could be expected from the seismic activity, Philvolcs said.  /kga
