According to the latest Road Crash Statistics Report of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority’s Metro Manila Accident Recording and Analysis System, there were 10,163 public utility jeepneys involved in road crashes in 2017.
Of the total, nine drivers were killed while 682 others were injured.
There were 11 passengers who died while 1,152 others were injured. —Marielle Medina
