Pagasa: Expect more wet but warm days
The northeast monsoon and the easterlies are currently affecting parts of the country, bringing both rains and humid weather, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
In its 24-hour weather bulletin issued at 5 p.m. on Monday, Pagasa forecast cloudy skies with light rains in the northern Luzon area, particularly Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera and Ilocos regions.
Pagasa warned of scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms in the eastern part of the country, particularly the Bicol region and the provinces of Quezon and Samar.
“The northeast monsoon has weakened, while the easterlies is bringing warm winds from the the Pacific ocean,” weather forecaster Shelly Ignacion said. —Jaymee T. Gamil
