2 women shot by motorcycle-riding gunmen in Laguna

SAN PEDRO CITY – Two women were hurt when their car was shot at by gunmen on a motorcycle in Los Baños, Laguna on Thursday afternoon.
Supt. Alex delos Santos, Los Baños police chief, identified the victims as Wilma Aguinaldo, 60, and a resident of Calamba City, and Rufina Mendoza, 55, a book keeper and a resident of Los Baños.

Initial report by the police said the victims were onboard their car when gunmen fired shots around 5:15 p.m. in Barangay Lalakay.

“When we arrived in the area (the victims) were still moving. The police were the ones who brought them to the hospital,” delos Santos said in a phone interview.

As of this writing, the police are still in the area conducting a followup operation.
