Makati residents or anyone born or married in the city will be able to get copies of certified civil documents free of charge from Feb. 26 to 28.
Mayor Abby Binay announced on Wednesday that a certified true copy of any of the following documents—birth, marriage and death certificates; and certificates of no record—would be issued by the City Civil Registration Office (CCRO) per person.
“Since last year, we have allotted three working days for the initiative since we want to accommodate more people,” she said.
Civil documents in Makati City normally cost P104 each while rush releases or those released within an hour cost P154.
Requesting parties should go to the CCRO at the 3rd floor of the Makati City Hall Building I from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and present any valid government-issued ID.
If applying for someone else’s documents, an authorization letter and photocopies of the valid ID of both the requester and person named in the certificates will be required.
