Doctor robbed of car at her home in Manila
MANILA, Philippines—A doctor lost early Friday morning her car to three robbers, who took the vehicle from her at gun-point outside her home in Manila.
Janette Tuquero, 55, a doctor who specializes in obstetrics and gynecology, of Roxas Street in Sta. Ana, lodged a complaint with the Manila Police District anti-carnapping and hijacking unit.
In her complaint, Tuquero told investigators that she was about to board her Hyundai car (PBO-260) parked outside her house at around 5 a.m. Friday when three men accosted her.
The men pointed .45-caliber pistols at her, forcibly took her car, and drove off in it.
Police were conducting follow-up operations for the identification and arrest of the car thieves as well as the possible recovery of the stolen vehicle.
