Overcast skies and rain may dominate Tuesday’s weather in different parts of the archipelago due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

In its 24-hour weather bulletin issued at 4 a.m., Pagasa said that cloudy skies with rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected over Eastern Visayas due to the easterlies, which currently affects the eastern part of the country.

The easterlies are defined as the warm winds from the Pacific.

Meanwhile, the state weather agency said that Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

Pagasa said that the impacts of these weather conditions include “possible flash floods or landslides due to light to moderate with at times heavy rain” and the public is being advised to take caution.  Frances Mangosing, INQUIRER.net             /kga
