President Rodrigo Duterte’s top aide, Secretary Christopher “Bong” Go, has advised critics of the administration to just wait for their time as he promised that both of them would return to Davao when the President’s term ends in 2022.
Go, special assistant to the President, lamented during the hearing of the Senate committee on national defense how “fake news” were being used in an alleged attempt to sow intrigues among the military and President.
“President Duterte is mandated by the people. Nagsalita na ang taumbayan. Antayin na lang ninyo ang inyong panahon. Nagmamadali po masyado kayo, 2022 uuwi na kami ng Davao,” he said.
Go cited “fake news” directed at the President and his administration to provoke people to launch another Edsa revolt.
The official then reiterated his call for the Senate to continue its probe on fake news and his request to invite Rappler and Inquirer for reporting his alleged involvement in the P15.7 billion frigate deal issue.
“Para na rin kayong nakapatay ng tao. Makonsesya naman kayo. Biktima ako dito,” he said. /cbb
