As promised, most Cabinet members showed up at the Senate on Monday to show support for Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go, who was dragged into the Philippine Navy’s P15.7 billion frigate deal.

Go entered the Senate session hall in time for the 9:30 a.m. hearing of the Senate committee on national defense being chaired by Senator Gringo Honasan.

Among the Cabinet members present were Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, Communications Secretary Martin Andanar and Asst. Sec. Mocha Uson, Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II, Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano, Solicitor General Jose Calida, and Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III.

Actor Robin Padilla was also at the gallery to show his support for Go.

Go has repeatedly denied that he had intervened into the deal in favor of a South Korean supplier.                /kga
