Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go will “tell all” during the Senate investigation on the controversial P15.7 billion Philippine Navy frigate acquisition deal, Malacañang said on Sunday.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque also said that Go could likewise be expected to ask for “an open and transparent Senate inquiry” on the issue that is set to take place on Monday.

“Expect Secretary Go to tell all, and as instructed by the President, he would likely demand for an open and transparent Senate inquiry to show that he – and the Administration – has nothing to hide as he would squarely answer questions, in full view of the public,” Roque said in a statement.

“The whole truth would finally be known.  Asahan na bukas ay lalabas at lalabas na ang pagkakasangkot kay SAP Go ay kuryente lamang, o pekeng balita na pilit na inuugnay sa Administrasyon,” he added.

Roque also reiterated in a radio interview that Go has nothing to do with the frigate acquisition project of the Department of National Defense (DND).

“Wala po talagang kinalaman si SAP Bong Go dahil itong kontratang ito ay natapos na noong panahon pa ng nakalipas na administrasyon,” Roque said in an interview over DZMM.

“Itong kawalan ng pananagutan ni Bong Go ay hindi po dahil may nag-utos sa kanya na dapat may mapanagot kundi dahil wala talaga siyang partisipasyon,” he added.

Earlier, Go threatened to resign from his post if it would be proven that he intervened in the purchase of combat management systems for the warships of the Philippine Navy.

“My name has been unfairly dragged in this issue,” Go said in a statement. “I am not privy to the frigate transaction of the DND. I have never seen the controversial document [white paper] that is alleged to have come from me, much less, handed the same to [Defense Secretary Delfin] Lorenzana.”

“In fact, I will resign if it can be proven that I intervened,” he added.   /kga
