Police asset, 5 others fall in Caloocan anti-drug stings
An alleged police asset and five others were arrested in a separate buy-bust operation and “Oplan Galugad” of the Caloocan City police on Friday.
Caloocan police chief Senior Supt. Jemar Modequillo identified the illegal drug target as Mark Louie Fernandez, 37, who will be facing charges of violating Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act No. 9165.
Fernandez was alleged to be a civilian informant for the police but he was also on the illegal drug watch list who was previously detained on drug-related charges, Modequillo added.
The suspect was targeted after concerned citizens complained that he and his live-in partner identified as a certain “Gracia” peddled drugs along Galauran Street, Barangay 63 Grace Park West.
The same complaint also claimed that Fernandez was getting drugs from the police and that it was “Gracia” who was involved in trafficking it.
