LPA continues to bring cloudy skies, rain over Palawan – Pagasa
Overcast skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms are expected to persist over Palawan due to the low pressure area (LPA) that was formerly tropical depression “Basyang.”
Basyang weakened into an LPA as it moved towards Palawan since late Wednesday afternoon.
The LPA was last spotted 250 kilometers southwest of Puerto Princesa City, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Friday.
Meanwhile, the state weather bureau said the easterlies are affecting the eastern section of the country.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers, Pagasa also said. /kga
