Storm signals were lifted in most areas as Tropical Depression “Basyang” headed towards southern Palawan.
Only Palawan, including the Calamian and Cuyo groups of islands, remained under Signal No. 1, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
Moderate to heavy rain is expected over Palawan and Western Visayas in the next 24 hours.
Light to moderate with at times heavy rain is expected over the rest of the Visayas, the Bicol region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and Caraga.
Basyang, which was last spotted 255 kilometers south of Cuyo, Palawan, is expected to make landfall over southern Palawan on Wednesday night. /cbb
