ALBERT Pagara of the ALA Gym will face Henry Acha of Bukidnon in an eight-round bout this Monday at the Maasin City Gym.
The undefeated Pagara (8W-0L 6KOs) fought on the undercard of Pinoy Pride IX in Bacolod City and scored three knockdowns in beating East African fighter Shabani Madilu by unanimous decision last month.
Acha (5W-16L-1D, 1KO) has lost to ranked boxers like Roilo Golez, Jether Oliva and Sonny Boy Jaro.
This will be the third time this year that the superflyweight prospect known as “Prince” Albert will headline a professional card in Maasin. He is the younger brother of jr.welterweight Jason Pagara.
Rey Melligen will fight Ruben Santillanosa in another eight rounder. Melligen (8W-0L, 5 KOs) is also an unbeaten prospect and the younger brother of welterweight Mark Jason Melligen.
The well traveled Santillanosa (9W-26L-2D, 5 KOs) once lost to reigning IBF world featherweight champion Billy Dib five years ago in an IBO Asia-Pacific title bout in Australia. He has also lost to the likes of undefeated KO artist Lorenzo Villanueva and Glenn Porras.
Crowd favorite Jun “Flash” Intor is also set to appear in a four rounder against Crispin Parba while Reymond Tabugon will fight Marben Layos in another four round bout. /Correspondent Rene Bonsubre Jr.
