Gunmen kill 2 in QC house

Two men were shot dead by still-unidentified assailants who entered a Quezon City residence on Tuesday, police said.

Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar, director of the Quezon City Police District, said investigators had yet to establish a motive for the killing of Joseph Dumantay, 40, and Allen Noynoy, 26.

Supt. Carlito Grijaldo, Novaliches police station commander, said the two men died of multiple gunshot wounds inside the house Dumantay was renting on Hercules Street, Barangay San Agustin.

Around 10:45 p.m., a security guard posted nearby heard a series of gunshots coming from the house and alerted the barangay’s public safety officers, who later found the victims dead.

Eleazar said Dumantay and Noynoy were not on the local drug watch list, but that police were checking allegations that the two slain men had been involved in robberies. –Jhesset O. Enano
