Palace hopeful Duque will address Dengvaxia mess

Malacañang is hopeful that the controversial Dengvaxia vaccine would be given the “right solution” now that the Commission on Appointments (CA) has confirmed the appointment of Health Secretary Francisco Duque III.

“Congratulations to Secretary Duque at ‘yang kanyang confirmation po ay patunay na siya po ay karapat-dapat na maging Secretary of Health,” Roque said in phone patch interview with reporters on Wednesday.

(Congratulations to Secretary Duque, and his confirmation is proof that he is really fit to be Secretary of Health.)

Roque said the Palace is confident that Duque would be able to handle the issues besetting the Department of health (DOH).

“Kampante din po ang Malacañang with Secretary Duque at the helm of the DOH lahat po ng ating mga problema lalo na dito sa Dengvaxia ay mabibigyan po tamang solusyon,” he said.

(Malacañang is confident, with Secretary Duque at the helm of the DOH, all of our problems particularly the Dengvaxia issue will be given the right solution.)
