Donate savings from abstinence to charity, Church pleads

The social action arm of the Archdiocese of Manila launched a campaign appealing to the faithful to donate to charity what they can save from 40 days of abstinence during Lent.

In a post on its Facebook page, Caritas Manila said those who would practice abstinence during Lent could save at least P40 per day, which they could donate to the program “P40 for 40” campaign. —Julie M. Aurelio
