A magnitude 3.8 earthquake jolted La Union on Monday morning, the Philippine Institute of Seismology and Volcanology (Phivolcs) said.
A Phivolcs report indicated that the earthquake struck 8:42 a.m. east of Pugo, La Union.
The tremor of tectonic origin had a depth of seven kilometers, the report also showed.
Phivolcs said the earthquake in La Union consequently caused an Intensity 4 earthquake in Baguio City.
Phivolcs noted that no damage and aftershocks could be expected from the quake. Faye Orellana, INQUIRER.net /kga
