2 drug pushers nabbed in Quezon

LUCENA CITY–Two women suspected of drug peddling were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Pagbilao town in Quezon province shortly before midnight Thursday.

Senior Superintendent Rhoderick Armamento, Quezon police director, said anti-illegal drug operatives collared Geraldine Maca, 46, and Shella Reyes, 37, after the duo sold a small plastic sachet of crystal meth or “shabu” to an undercover policeman inside one of the rooms of Greenview Hotel in Barangay (village) Mapagong about 11 p.m.

Police seized four sachets of shabu worth P1,700 in the street market and the P500 marked money used in the buy-bust.

Police learned of the suspects’ illegal activities from drug users in the area who wanted to surrender due to the renewed police Oplan Tokhang drug campaign. The suspects were detained at the Pagbilao police jail.
