The Mayon volcano continued to emit ash over the province of Albay on Thursday, the Philippine Institute of Seismology and Volcanology (Phivolcs) said.
Based on the latest record of the agency, the volcano had two ash eruptions between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m.
At 8:51 a.m., Mt. Mayon spewed a grayish ash plume with a height of 750 meters drifting southwest from its crater. The eruption was accompanied by a booming sound, Phivolcs said.
Prior to that, a 1.5 kilometer high ash was also generated by the restive volcano at 7:51 a.m. going south-southwest direction.
The Mayon volcano already posted three ash eruptions for Thursday.
The first incident occurred at 6:04 a.m. where the volcano emitted a 1.3 kilometer high ash.
The Phivolcs did not record any episodes of lava fountaining and pyroclastic density current during the three eruptions. /je
