MANILA, Philippines–Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero did not suffer any injury after he figured in a vehicular accident in Quezon City Wednesday night.

In a statement on Thursday, Escudero’s chief of staff, Roland Tan confirmed that the car the senator was driving was hit by another vehicle in Cubao, Quezon City.

“Fortunately, Senator Escudero did not suffer any injuries and was even able to call us, his staff, to assist the passengers and the driver of the other car,” Tan said.

The passengers and the driver of the other vehicle, Tan said, were rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital in Quezon City to make sure that they would be given immediate medical attention.

“At this time, Senator Escudero is fine and safe and continues to monitor the condition of the passengers from the other vehicle,” Tan added.
