Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) have arrested a 35-year-old woman caught selling P1.2 million worth of shabu in Bagasbas, Daet, Camarines Norte.

Ma. Veronica Duero alias “Mavic” or “Stephanie,” 35, was collared by anti-drug operatives from PDEA Regional Office V and Military Intelligence Group 5 – Camarines Norte on January 26, Friday, PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino announced on Wednesday.

Aquino said that Duero, a “big-time” drug pusher, was nabbed after she was caught selling the illegal drugs to an undercover agent who had acted as a poseur-buyer.

During the operation, authorities seized a piece of knot-tied transparent plastic bag containing suspected shabu, weighing more or less 250 grams, with an estimated value of P1.2 million, as well as the marked money used in the buy-bust.

Duero would be charged for sale of dangerous drugs in violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the trial court, the PDEA chief said. /jpv
