The Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday dismissed the administrative complaint against Associate Justice Teresita Leonardo De Castro who had been accused of violating the New Code of Conduct for the Philippine Judiciary for leaking confidential documents in aid of the impeachment complaint against Chief Justice Ma. Lourdes Sereno.

A source said the justices unanimously voted to dismiss the complaint filed last November by Filipino Alliance for Transparency and Empowerment (FATE), a newly formed group reportedly advocating good governance that has been supporting Sereno.

The source said the high court justices saw no basis to the complaint filed by the group.

Both De Castro and Sereno did not participate in the deliberation. /je
