With the relaunch of “Oplan Tokhang,” the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said it has arrested at least eleven drug suspects, including two senior citizens, in a string of anti-illegal drug raids in the city.
QCPD Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar said Alex Rivera, a 60 year old male, and Yolanda Angeles, a 68 year old female, were among those arrested on Monday, January 29, in Barangay Gulod during the operations launched by the Novaliches Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU).
Two others, identified as Emmanuel Angeles, 47, and Christopher Cuaresma, 31, were also arrested in the drug sting, Eleazar said.
The QC police chief said three sachets of shabu and marked money were recovered from the suspects after they were caught transacting with an undercover agent.
Moreover, Batasan Police Station anti-drug operatives arrested Maricar Ferrer, 28, and Rafael Racadio, 37, during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Culiat. The operation yielded nine sachets of shabu, Eleazar said.
