About 1,000 passengers of the Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT 3) were offloaded on Monday night as one of its trains suffered an electrical glitch in Mandaluyong.

According to an MRT 3 report, the train offloaded its commuters at the southbound rail of the Shaw Boulevard Station after it had an “electrical failure” around 8:24 p.m.

The service disruption was caused by “worn out electrical sub-components,” such as insulator, regulator, and main chopper, the report said.

The passengers were then loaded in another train four minutes after. /atm
