Kannawidan Ylocos Festival
A celebration of the culture and attractions of Ilocos Sur province. Activities lined up for the festival include a grand float parade, technology and livelihood training, fashion show and zarzuela, a Spanish theater form.
Jan. 31 to Feb. 2
Candle Festival
A three-day celebration featuring the culture and traditions of the people in Candelaria, Quezon province. The event also pays homage to Nuestra Señora de Candelaria. Among the highlights of the festival are the float parade and street dancing competition.
Feb. 1 to 9
Bulang-Bulang Festival
The festival features the fowl industry, which is one of the major sources of livelihood in San Enrique in Negros Occidental province. The word “bulang” means cockfighting in Hiligaynon. A dance presentation depicting the life and character of the fighting cock is among the festival’s main events.
