Scattered rains and thunderstorms are predicted over Southern Luzon, the Visayas as well as parts of Mindanao, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

In its weather bulletin issued at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, Pagasa said Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, the Visayas, and Caraga would experience scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought by the tail-end of a cold front.

Moreover, the rest of Mindanao, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to a localized thunderstorm, the state weather bureau said.

Meanwhile, cloudy skies with scattered rains would prevail over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley Region, Cordillera Administrative Region and Central Luzon due to the northeast monsoon, or “amihan,” Pagasa said.

The Ilocos Region, on the other hand, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains also brought by the northeast monsoon. /atm
