Duterte names officer-in-charge for CHEd

President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Commissioner Prospero de Vera III as officer-in-charge of the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd).

Duterte signed the appointment paper of De Vera on January 24 but was released only on Friday.

His appointment came as CHEd Chairperson Patricia Licuanan resigned from her post amid her alleged questionable foreign trips, which were purportedly without the authorization of Malacañang.                /kga
