Mt. Mayon ejects lava again – Phivolcs
Mayon Volcano spewed a fountain of lava for the third time this Wednesday, the Philippine Institute of Seismology and Volcanology (Phivolcs) said.
But officials have yet to determine the height of the 8-minute lava fountain, which was recorded to have occurred around 10:50 a.m., as clouds obstructed the view.
Phivolcs also said that it received reports about rumblings heard by residents at Ligñon Hill, which is located 11 kilometers southeast of the volcano, as the lava fountain event happened.
The Mayon Volcano has registered two episodes of lava fountaining at 2:33 a.m. and 6:02 a.m. on Wednesday.
