Communications Assistant Secretary Margaux “Mocha” Uson returned on Wednesday morning her Thomasian Alumni Award for Government Service.
“Kanina lang po nasauli na. Tinanggap po nila. Isinauli ko naman po iyon dahil hindi naman po tayo nanghingi ng award na iyon eh,” she told reporters at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) Terminal 2.
(A while ago it was returned. They accepted it. I returned it because in the first place I didn’t ask them to give me an award.)
“Kaya [ko] lang po tinanggap [yung award] dahil binigay [nila sa akin],” she added.
(I accepted the award because they gave it to me.)
Uson called on the public to stop criticizing the president of the University of Santo Tomas Alumni Association Inc. (USTAAI), Henry Tenedero.
“Ako na lang po ang i-bully niyo. Ako na lang murahin niyo (Just redirect your bullying at me. Just me you want to curse),” she said.
The USTAAI came under fire after it granted Uson an award for government service on Sunday. /jpv
