PDEA-PNP anti-drug ops net 4 suspected traffickers

Joint operatives of the Bulacan Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested on Wednesday four suspected drug pushers during two separate anti-illegal drug operations in Bulacan and Caloocan.

The Bulacan Police and PDEA identified the suspects as Harold Correa, 23; John Edrich Roxas, alias Ed, 21; and a minor.

Seized from the three suspects were 32 sachets of marijuana weighing 243 grams, with an equivalent street value of P48,000.

According to Radyo Inquirer 990 AM report, the suspects were arrested after they handed two tea bags of marijuana to police agents during a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Guyong, Sta. Maria, Bulacan.

Police investigation also showed that the illegal substance came all the way from Buscalan, Tinglayan, Kalinga, the report said.

Meanwhile, following the warrant of arrest served by the Caloocan police, Kelvin Dilao was also arrested in P. Gomez St. Brgy 154, Bagong Barrio, Caloocan.

Found in Dilao’s house were a 25-cailber pistol and several bullets, 12 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu, a pack of marijuana, and a weighing scale.

All suspects are now facing charges for drug trafficking while an additional case was filed against Dilao for illegally carrying a firearm, the report said. /jpv
